Yesterday, just like that, I suddenly exploded in praises to my God
so I wrote it down
This is what came out:

"I rejoice in the Lord!
He has redeemed me.
He has returned more than I have lost,
He has blessed me more than before.
I came to Him empty,
and he has sent me full.
I came to Him lost
and He embraced me.
Holy is the Lord!
He is my salvation!!
He looks down at his servant in the midst of his sin,
and He has mercy over him.
He sets his path to return to Him,
He calls him home
and He makes him His.
I rejoice in the Lord!
He makes me sing all day long,
He makes me cry out to him all night.
I thirst for Him like for no one else,
I await for Him like a lover awaits her love.
He has anointed my head again,
He has filled my quiver with arrows.
He appoints me over a city,
and makes me ruler of a county.
Praise be to the Lord!
He has had mercy on his servant,
He cleansed him from his sin
and covered him with blessings and praises.
Those who said, "where is his God?
Surely he was not a God lover!"
They now say, "he walks with the Lord".
I will thank my Lord and my God
all the days of my life.
I will sing praises to Him with every breath.
Hallelujah."

A bird flew in

As I was praying this morning, and thinking what I should write about, a baby bird flew right through my balcony, through the door, right into my lap.
I was startled and instantly jumped out of my chair.
I was able to help the little bird out on the balcony without touching it (I was afraid to harm it).
Around an hour later, the mother bird came to the balcony, and found it.
This hit me as such a vivid image of how God is with us.
When we are lost, he sets out and searches for us, until he finds us.
Though we feel alone, he is there seeking us.
Though we leave him, he finds us and does not leave our side.
We might be too weak to fly, too hurt, too fragile, our wings still need strength,
but He comes by and models for us how to strengthen our wings.
He flies and comes back to show us how to fly.
And in the end,
when we have enough courage and strength to jump,
we soar with him like eagles.
Heavenly dad,
strengthen my wings that I may fly with you.
Amen
